Journalist Levent Ozturk, following the ongoing aid efforts in northern Syria, could not remain indifferent to a scene he encountered. It is a fact that it is difficult to live in Afrin, not even withdraw money from there.
Following the work here closely, Ozturk drew Turkish Lira from a PTT (Turkish Post Telegraph and Telephone Servive) cash dispenser in Raju. Stating that he will keep the money he took as a souvenir, Ozturk explained his experiences and other journalists immortalized this moment with their cameras.
Far from the pressure and threat of terrorist and regime forces in northern Syria, people started to reshape their lives in safe areas. Turkey’s infrastructure and humanitarian work in the shadow of war brings hope to Syrians that are victims of the civil war.
